Early shorts we made for "You Wrote It, You Watch It" on MTV in the
early 90's are now on
vimeo.
We'd all just graduated college and were all doing our first
"professional" work. We went out an interviewed people on the street,
asking them for funny stories from their lives, then we'd intercut the
stories with our comedic re-enactments. We served as our own cast and
crew, and were given a hi-8 video camera, 3 lights, a one-room office,
and a $50 per week prop budget.

FRANCISCO
All eleven members of THE STATE performed together for the first time
in over ten years, at the San
Francisco Sketchfest in January 2009.
March 2008: THE STATE REUNION IN L.A.

in Los Angeles with a live show of all new sketch comedy.
